Fascia is a continuous web of connective tissue that envelops and interconnects all muscles, bones, nerves, and organs in the body. It provides essential structural support, enhances mobility, and plays a crucial role in overall health and function. However, when fascia becomes restricted due to immobility, injury, or lifestyle factors, it can lead to pain and reduced function, negatively impacting all aspects of life.
Fascia Stretch Therapy (FST) is a unique, pain-free, assisted stretch system that focuses on the fascia and joint capsule to achieve optimal flexibility, strength, balance, agility, proprioception, performance, and pain relief. Unlike traditional stretching methods that isolate individual muscles, FST targets entire fascial nets, effectively releasing tension and creating space in the joints. This comprehensive approach not only enhances physical function but also significantly improves sleep quality and reduces stress, offering a holistic impact on both the mind and body.
My family and I have been going to Trish Macklin for massages for a few years. Our treatments are always excellent and therapeutic. Today I tried the Fascia Stretch Therapy that she offers. I really benefitted from the treatment today, and so far an ongoing injury/restriction that has been a problem is completely gone. I will continue with this type of treatment for sure! - TL

No. You will feel tissues put on stretch, but not painfully so.
It seems counterintuitive that someone moving your limbs is relaxing, but an FST session is very soothing, particularly when you focus on slow breathing and dropping your awareness into the stretch.
Because the therapist is moving you; you will need to wear loose fitting, or stretchable clothing. No jeans, or anything that restricts your movement. Athletic wear is ideal.
